The book begins by throwing us right into the games, except not really. A woman from an unspecified country is on a boat with an unspecified number of unspecified people, thinking unspecified thoughts about the unspecified rules of these unspecified games. At least we know her name, and the name of the brand of boat she’s on! I hope that this episode gets across how truly disorienting this book is to read. I feel sick, and my wristband is buzzing, warm against my pulse. It’s warm against my pulse and if it stops buzzing I’ll die, and it’s warm against my pulse over my gloves. Despite this, I was able to record and edit the episode.
