39: ESP (Extra Special Podcasting)

I predict a podcast in your future! That's right duelists, this week is the Jonouchi vs Esper Roba duel! Who will win? Brains or Brawn? Bad hair or good hair? Cheating or Luck? I mean, probably luck, since cheating hasn't historically worked out for most people in this show. Watching: Episodes 58 & 59 of Yu-Gi-Oh! 1.11 – Don’t Quote Me on Any of That, But Most of That Is True

Holy cannoli, sports fans, did this one ever get away from us. Get a load of that runtime! 76 god damn minutes! Well, if you’re into weird tangents, you’re in luck: this has one stuff ranging from late-period classic rock to everyone’s least-favourite Canadian lobster man. But crucially, we get to talk about some movies! The power of emotional filmmaking, feminist critiques, the thrill of watching a master at work, ruminations and time and love… But to get to all that, you have to deal with a little bit of branded content. #BadDragon #SponsoredContentThis week’s matchups: Your Name. v. Gone…

3 – Lulu by Lou Reed & Metallica (1.0)

Here’s this one, we guess! Alex from such podcasts as City Girls Make Do and HKIPGTD joins David and Matt to talk about the maligned collabo between Lou Reed and Metallica, Lulu. There’s a lot to unpack here and most of it is gross, unfortunate, and dick-centric. Join us!

35 – Where’s Eraserhead Baby?

It’s our second bad episode of SATC in a row with season 3 episode 5: No Ifs, Ands, or Butts. In addition to the bad plot of “Samantha dates a black man,” we also lament the death of Kristin Davis’ face via bad kissing, and give Steve a time out for throwing a literal temper tantrum. On a more positive note, we get to finally meet the good boy of Aidan! Plus, we discuss our dream Twin Peaks vacation and gush over Kyle MacLachlan for probably a solid quarter of the episode.

38: 1-800-XRAY-CONTACTS

Sonic the Hedgehog escaped from the city, but we're heading right into it! Battle city has officially kicked off, and what better way to start than with a duel between the purest heart imaginable and a dirty, cheating ghoul? Always remember to give 100% of your Kaiba, especially if you're only 50% of a blimp. This analogy doesn't really work, huh? Watching: Episodes 56 & 57 of Yu-Gi-Oh! CW: Talk about bones breaking for a couple minutes in the questions section (the question is about this subject so you’ll know when it’s coming!)This week your hosts have braved a truly awful episode of Sex and the City for you. We even dragged in a very special guest to suffer with us, friend of the show Josh! The episode of the week is season 3 episode 4, Boy, Girl, Boy, Girl… and hoo boy, the title is just the tip of the iceberg. Carrie dates a bisexual man, Charlotte does drag, and as you can imagine the writers handle…

58 – Veto O’Fork

This episode was nearly lost a dozen times, what you hear now has been edited together from at least 7 separate audio tracks. My roommates were loud, I dropped a fork on myself, Craig died thrice, weird audio desync, and no preparation. It all comes together to give you a very special free form jazz episode of HKIPGTD, risen from the ashes. We talk about Beto, Mueller, Trudeau, and some other stuff in between our collective exasperation. Let my frankenstein sing into your ears.Featuring: Brooks, Alex Leafcrunch, and Patrick(who also edited)Music Used: Evil Men – The Taxpayers Spanish Flea –…
