36 – Cum Blackout

Sometimes you gotta ask the real deep questions about yourself, especially the real deep ones that are dumb as hell. In season 3 episode 6, Carrie’s question is so deep and dumb that it’s the episode title: Are We Sluts? Our city ladies contemplate the meaning of slutdom this week, and we diagnose all women as valid regardless of how much sex they do or don’t have. Meanwhile, Aidan spends a very questionable amount of time in the shitter which makes us ponder the spatial logistics of Carrie’s apartment.

Good news! We’ve finally found it: the worst episode of the show! It’s S04E05, “Hole in the Wall”, a truly miserable, awful time! Don’t worry, I’m sure it’s all smooth sailing from here 🙂 This week, there’s a fire starting in our hearts. 85 – i’m not crazy i’m just a little unwell i know right now you can’t tell

CW: this episode deals heavily in unreality. its pretty strongly woven into the plot of the episode, and there’s no avoiding it, so maybe skip this one if you’d prefer. additionally, we talk about a suicide related scene from roughly 39:30 to 41:45.for christmastime we talk about Dave this week, season 2 episode 18. our friend Hurley struggles with mental health, trauma, and eating disorders, and a mean 3rd-baldest man named Dave gives everyone a piece of his mind. 1.11 – Don’t Quote Me on Any of That, But Most of That Is True

Holy cannoli, sports fans, did this one ever get away from us. Get a load of that runtime! 76 god damn minutes! Well, if you’re into weird tangents, you’re in luck: this has one stuff ranging from late-period classic rock to everyone’s least-favourite Canadian lobster man. But crucially, we get to talk about some movies! The power of emotional filmmaking, feminist critiques, the thrill of watching a master at work, ruminations and time and love… But to get to all that, you have to deal with a little bit of branded content. #BadDragon #SponsoredContentThis week’s matchups: Your Name. v. 3 – Lulu by Lou Reed & Metallica (1.0)

Here’s this one, we guess! Alex from such podcasts as City Girls Make Do and HKIPGTD joins David and Matt to talk about the maligned collabo between Lou Reed and Metallica, Lulu. There’s a lot to unpack here and most of it is gross, unfortunate, and dick-centric. Join us!

35 – Where’s Eraserhead Baby?

It’s our second bad episode of SATC in a row with season 3 episode 5: No Ifs, Ands, or Butts. In addition to the bad plot of “Samantha dates a black man,” we also lament the death of Kristin Davis’ face via bad kissing, and give Steve a time out for throwing a literal temper tantrum. On a more positive note, we get to finally meet the good boy of Aidan! Plus, we discuss our dream Twin Peaks vacation and gush over Kyle MacLachlan for probably a solid quarter of the episode.
